CAREER ORIENTATION PROGRAM


The Operations Division provides the most critical element of our mission.
Responding to Fire, Medical, Motor Vehicle and Hazardous Materials Emergencies 24 hours a day seven days per week. While our target response time standard is to have 4 firefighters or 2 EMS personnel on scene within 10 minutes 80% of the time, we are meeting this goal 68% during career support time (Monday – Friday 6 am to 6 pm) and 46% of the remaining time.
The volunteer operations division consists of 13 fire & rescue stations with 255 active volunteers and an additional 96 semi-active volunteers. The career operations component for year 2006 consisted of 23 personnel.

For calendar year 2006 total incidents are as follows:
Fire Incidents Total: 5395
EMS Incidents Total: 2481
